About Us

The Birmingham Athletic Institute (BAI) was formed in the 1880s with the object of promoting physical education and recreation in Birmingham and the surrounding district. BAI netball club, as part of this organisation was established in the 1950s.

Senior Teams

The club has 6 senior teams which, for the 24/25 season, will be playing in West Midlands Regional Division 1 and Birmingham Netball League Divisions 1, 3, 4, 11 and 13.

Training is on Thursdays from 1900 to 2200 at University of Birmingham School, 12 Weoley Park Road, Selly Oak, Birmingham, B29 6QU. We also have a more social training session on Mondays from 1900 to 2100 at Shenley Academy, B29 4HE.

Social

We take our netball seriously, but what is a team sport without friends and fun?

BAI is a very friendly, close-knit club who support each other both on and off the court.

We regularly arrange social events, from a night out in town to our annual interclub netball tournament.
